Sophian Marthabaya, S.H., M.H. serves as Of Counsel at Endang Hadrian & Partners Law Firm, bringing more than four decades of distinguished professional experience in legal practice, the judiciary, legal education, and the advancement of legal scholarship in Indonesia. Having served as an advocate, judge, Ad Hoc Supreme Court Justice for Corruption Cases, corporate legal counsel, and academic, he is widely recognized as one of Indonesia's most respected senior legal practitioners, offering a comprehensive perspective in addressing complex and strategically significant legal matters.

Mr. Marthabaya began his legal career in 1981 as an advocate with Hanafiah & Partners, before joining Ratna Wulan & Partners between 1988 and 1990. In addition to private legal practice, he served as Legal Counsel to PT Aditya Matra Leasing (1990–1993) and PT Rifan Financiary (1993–1996), where his responsibilities included providing legal opinions, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, mitigating legal risks, and advising on a broad range of corporate legal matters.

Within the judiciary, Mr. Marthabaya established an outstanding record of public service. He served as a Judge of the Serang District Court from 1985 to 1987, before reaching the pinnacle of his judicial career when he was appointed Ad Hoc Supreme Court Justice for Corruption Cases at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, serving from 2005 to 2016. In this capacity, he examined, adjudicated, and rendered decisions in numerous high-profile corruption cases, making a significant contribution to strengthening Indonesia's judicial system and anti-corruption enforcement.

Mr. Marthabaya has also devoted much of his career to legal education. He served as a Part-Time Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, from 1982 to 1985, before becoming a Full-Time Lecturer at the same institution for more than three decades, from 1987 to 2018. He also served as Dean of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Wiraswasta between 1983 and 1985, reflecting his leadership and enduring contribution to the education of future legal professionals and academics.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, in 1982, and later earned his Master of Laws (M.H.) from Padjadjaran University in 2014, further strengthening his academic and professional credentials.
