Mr. Zainal earned his Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), Bandung. To further strengthen his professional qualifications, he pursued postgraduate studies in Notarial Law at the University of Indonesia, providing him with a solid academic foundation in civil law, legal documentation, and notarial practice.

From his university years, Mr. Zainal demonstrated strong leadership qualities through active involvement in student organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Student Senate of the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University. He began his legal career as an advocate in 1986 and has since built an extensive practice encompassing both litigation and non-litigation matters. Supported by his educational background in notarial law, he has developed significant expertise in contract drafting and review, legal drafting, legal opinions, legal reviews, and corporate legal advisory services. His professional credentials were further strengthened through his appointment as a Land Deed Official (PPAT) and his subsequent appointment as a Notary, providing him with comprehensive knowledge of civil and land law.

Mr. Zainal has also served as Corporate Legal Counsel for publicly listed companies, including PT Perdana Gapuraprima Tbk. In this capacity, he was responsible for contract drafting and negotiation, legal opinions, legal due diligence, legal reviews, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters. This experience has provided him with valuable insight into the legal and commercial needs of modern businesses.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Zainal has represented individuals, corporations, State-Owned Enterprises, private companies, and government agencies in a wide range of litigation and commercial transactions.
