Religious Court Procedural Law (Theory and Practice) – Authors: Dr. H. Endang Hadrian, S.H., M.H.; Hoirullah, S.Sy., M.H., CPM.

The religious court system in Indonesia is unique, possessing a long history of adjudication that spans the era of Islamic kingdoms and sultanates in the archipelago, the period of Western colonial rule, and the post-independence era. Religious courts have been integrated into the nation's positive legal framework—evolving from their initial placement under the Ministry of Religious Affairs to their current status as a recognized judicial chamber within the Supreme Court. These courts were established to accommodate the interests of Indonesia's religious communities in accordance with the values ??of Pancasila; specifically, Religious Courts handle matters concerning Muslims, while the interests of non-Muslims are addressed by General Courts, thereby ensuring that the state facilitates justice regarding the observance and practice of religion.
