Jakarta – The Arsid–Andre Taulany legal team expressed relief following the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision ordering a revote in the South Tangerang (Tangsel) mayoral election. The ruling granted one of the petitions filed by the Arsid–Andre ticket challenging the election results.

"We are relieved. We accept the Court's decision and will fully comply with it," said Endang Hadrian, legal counsel for the Arsid–Andre ticket, in an interview with detikcom on Friday, November 10, 2010.

The Constitutional Court annulled South Tangerang General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 43/Kpts/KPU-Tangerang Selatan/XI/2010, concerning the determination and certification of the vote count for the candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang in the 2010 Regional Election, dated November 17, 2010.

"The declaration of the election winner has been annulled, and a revote will be conducted. We will follow all the prescribed legal procedures," Endang stated.
