Papa Zidan Hires Lawyer Endang Hadrian, Who Previously Represented Entertainer Andre Taulany
Jakarta — Dr. H. Endang Hadrian, S.H., M.H., a Betawi-born attorney from Pamulang, South Tangerang, has been appointed as legal counsel for Papa Zidan, an Indonesian comedian, radio broadcaster, commercial actor, and digital content creator widely recognized on TikTok, Helo, Instagram, and Snack Video for his signature catchphrase, "Mathematics is Easy and Fun, Isn't It? No, It's Not!"
Dr. Endang Hadrian is widely recognized for his experience in handling high-profile litigation, including serving as legal counsel for entertainer Andre Taulany during the 2010 South Tangerang Regional Election (Pilkada) dispute. In that case, Andre Taulany and his running mate, Arsid, challenged the election results before the Constitutional Court of Indonesia (Mahkamah Konstitusi). The Court ultimately granted the petition, resulting in the election being conducted again.
Papa Zidan appointed Dr. Endang Hadrian to represent him in pursuing legal protection after alleging that his original creative works had been plagiarized by an online learning platform and a government institution in the health sector.
Speaking to the media, Papa Zidan explained the reasons for selecting Dr. Endang Hadrian as his legal representative:
"I deliberately chose an attorney with a strong track record and extensive courtroom experience. Mr. Endang Hadrian previously represented entertainer Andre Taulany and successfully argued a case before the Constitutional Court—an achievement that very few lawyers attain. I am confident that he will effectively protect my creative work against those who have allegedly copied it. We hope this matter can first be resolved through dialogue and mediation. However, if no agreement is reached, we are prepared to pursue all available legal remedies, whether through civil or criminal proceedings."
Papa Zidan was accompanied by his personal manager, Heru BosBro, when making the statement.
The matter concerns the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, particularly against the alleged unauthorized use and reproduction of original creative content under Indonesian law.
